So now that we know we're having a Boy, we can think seriously about names.This is where you come in. Below is a list of names that we have came up with. We would like your feedback on these, and any suggestions would also be welcome! We've linked them to a web page where you can find out what they mean, and some other stuff about them. I know that not everybody thinks much about meanings, but some of you might.

As you know I want you to call the baby Derek. The choice is completely up to you but i just think it's a good Scottish sounding name, particularly when it was shouted.
And I wouldn't be able to take him seriously if he was called Aiden :P

Your son looks fab!! I think he may be a unicorn though (not to worry you or anything) lol. You should call him Daryll Farrell LOL!! Stewart or Scott but how about Murray, that's what I'd have called Ellis if she was a boy. Alex suggested Alistair xx
you dont want to call your baby a fashionable name, if you do that there will be like nine jadens in his class...
you dont want to give him an over long name, trust me, having been named Jonathan, now shortened to Jay, I know about long names... and the name has got to roll with your surname, out of the list my favourites would be logan paul or morgan, all scottish names...

Scottish sounding names is one thought we had. If we stay here, it'd be a good idea. On the other hand, coming home with a Canadian name would be nice too.

scott would be a good name but its up to use what name yous pick im sure yous will think long and hard about it or you could let chris pick haha

well i think shaun patrick cos thats what liona was going to be called if she had been a boy right enough aiden is also nice but trust me yous wont pick till you see him and then you will say he looks like a ............
I have left this on long enough, I have to watch not to include/ disclose any names that Marie may have picked for my boy. I kinda Like the name Leo, its not overly fashionable, but its just brilliant. Needless to say Marie doesnt like it but I do.
If I have my hat on, which obviously you didnt, I would strike a guess the bay is due in August, I think one of the star signs for August is Leo but dont quote me on it. SO CALL YOUR SON LEO. or a good second choice is CALL YOUR SON FARQUAR.
When is the baby due?
Leon was my favorite for a boys name for years and years. Very similar to Leo. I'm not allowed Leon , and I guess Leo would be out for the same reason. Mel's sister, Jen, has a young baby girl called Liona. Too similar apparently.
I thought about Jean, but Farquar, although it has a good meaning, ain't gonna happen. :)

I canceled my car insurance the other week, and the girl that I was talking to was not that far away from you guys. Pretty amazing i though.
I got an I-phone the other day for a ton, just trying to get music moved over. I now know why I never bothered with a MP3 player before, this coverting all your tunes is taking me ages. I have decided that If I there is any point in me having it then I am gonna have to put music on it, but if its gonna be like this all the time then I think it might be getting the bullet.
That I-phone's a nice piece of kit tho. I'd like to get my hands on one. I just about decided that they were rubbish based on the overhype, but they're nice.
I don't like the whole iTunes thing tho. "You can't use any other format, only OURS!" says Apple. Yeah, nasty.
Mel's saying that the baby feels like he's getting ready to get into position already! I think she's just trying to get a rise out of me tho...
The canned pop thing was no joke! They were illegal on PEI! There's some conflicting reports about the reason for this. My favorite was that Pepsi (who have a bottling plant on the island) had a guy in the PEI government, and used him to make Pepsi the prevailing Cola of the island. The other ones are just about pollution, litter and recycling.
And at least the call center was in an English speaking part of the world!
